Independent candidate contesting for the Laikipia gubernatorial seat Mr Ndiritu Murithi has been fined Sh500,000 for using pictures of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto on his campaign posters.

Another who also faced them same wrath from IEBC is Kiambaa parliamentary hopeful Kariri Njama who is set to pay Sh200,000.

The fine is payable within 48 hrs failure to which they will be disqualified from vying.
