President Uhuru Kenyatta and India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday signed an MOU to support construction of a cancer hospital in Kenya.
The signing follows the bilateral agreements held by the two heads which will see both countries renew and deepen their friendship and partnership in a bid to strengthen India and Kenya ties.
Addressing the delegates at State House during the bilateral talks, the India's PM handed over a model of a Telecobalt Cancer Therapy Machine to President Uhuru which he said will bring cancer treatment and management closer home for many Kenyans.
The state-of-art nuclear medicine cancer therapy machine, (Bhabhatron) was developed and manufactured in India.
"We have agreed to deepen our security partnership including in fields of cyber security, combating drugs, narcotics and human trafficking," said Mr Mod.
In his note, President Uhuru said Kenya was committed to its new developments with India and promised that the country will continue to expand ties between the two.
"India and Kenya's relations are warm and they go back to centuries," said Uhuru.
