Nondies Rugby club has suffered a blow after the Kenya Rugby Union deducted 10 points for fielding ineligible players during the Kenya Cup matches.A statement from Kenya cup said that Nondescript fielded ineligible players during the first five matches of the 2017/2018 Kenya cup league which was contrary to the regulations of the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU).“Nondescripts have deducted 10 points for fielding ineligible players during their opening five Kenya Cup fixtures contrary to the provisions of the K.R.U regulations. The decision sees the 17 time Kenya Cup champions drop to 10th in the latest league standings ,” read the statement.The five matches included wins against Strathmore Leo's and Mombasa RFC with loses against Homeboyz, Impala and Blak Blad.However, the statement did not specify the ineligible players fielded. Nondes had signed Fidel Oloo and Levy Ochieng from Kabras Sugar while Moses Begi, Mark Ongayo and Franz Obudo joined from Blak Blad.The deduction has now made Nondescript position 10 in Kenya cup standings with only one point.Nondescript team manager Kevin Were said that he had paid for all the players and he will appeal the decision on Monday January 22.
