An infant was on Friday found abandoned outside the Nairobi Women's Hospital along Kirichwa Road branch.

The day old baby was discovered by a male nurse who found it outside the gate wrapped in a sweatshirt and a jacket.

According to communications officer,Geoffrey Korio, early tests conducted on the infant showed that he was healthy.

He further revealed that the infant will be taken to reputable children’s home.

“Through the Gender-Based Violence Recovery Centre, the baby has secured the safe placement at a reputable children’s home,” Korio is quoted by the Star.
