The body of an infant was on Friday morning found dumped at a farm in Muguga, Kikuyu.
The baby boy’s body was in a paper bag which was discovered by children when playing.
"Children found the body but could not tell whether the baby was dead or alive. We believe the kid was dumped in the early morning hours because if he had spent the night here, he would have been eaten by dogs," said Muguga Nyumba Kumi chairman of David Waweru.
Waweru said that they will use the Nyumba Kumi platform to identify the women who were pregnant but now they do not have babies.
"We are going house to house trying to identify the culprit as well as advising women that actions like these are not only immoral but unacceptable," said Waweru.
He noted that such cases have been on the rise recently and said they will work closely with the community to stem them down.
"The Police have not arrested anyone in relation to this matter but we are told that investigations are underway," said the chairman.
