The recent opinion polls by Infrotrak Research and Consulting agency that ranked President Uhuru Kenyatta as the most popular presidential candidate has not gone down well with Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire.

President Kenyatta emerged on top with 44.5 per cent with his closest challenger and opposition chief Raila Odinga trailing him at 27.8 per cent.

But Bosire on Sunday dismissed the polls as ‘statehouse mercenaries’, urging Kenyans to treat the figures with contempt they deserve.

“I have seen a crazy opinion poll on social media and I keep on wondering why they deviate from realities. The research company is part of statehouse mercenaries out to hoodwink Kenyans and should be avoided by good reasoning Kenyans,” said the ODM legislator.

Bosire questioned the credibility of the results taking the Nyanza statistics and Rift Valley outcome which lowly ranked Raila Odinga and William Ruto respectively.

“There is no credibility when you say Raila Odinga can score below 60 per cent in his Nyanza backyard and either way rank William Ruto lowly in his Rift Valley backyard in presidential polls. This means there is a conspiracy by State House to play with psychology of Kenyans,” he added.

He accused Jubilee regime of ‘panic’ and maintained the State had failed in taming corrupt individuals in government.

“The State of our economy is worrying. People are losing jobs and corruption is at the pick then a crooked research company paid from State House is here telling us that a failed government is popular. They should spare Kenyans with cooked propaganda,” he said.
