AFC Leopards are closing in on former Kakamega High School midfielder Marvin Omondi.

Omondi has been training with Ingwe for a few weeks now.

The attacking midfielder helped to steer Green Commandos to earn promotion to the National Super League in 2017.

During the same year, the students finished third nationally in the school games.

Omondi is said to have impressed coach Robert Matano and is said to be nearing a contract signature for the 2017 GOtv Shield champions.

"The coach is still looking at him and once he gives us an okay to sign him, we will do the necessary," said Leopards chairman Dan Mule as reported by Futaa.

If he joins the side, he will link up with his former Green Commandos teammate Yusuf Mainge who joined the side in December.
