Former GOtv champions AFC Leopards beat Nairobi Stima 2-0 in a GOtv round-of-32 match staged at the Mumias Complex to advance to the next round of the tournament.
In the Saturday match, Ingwe's debutant boy Aziz Okaka and defender Joshua Mawira scored a goal apiece in the early minutes of the first half to secure the victory.
Earlier at the same venue, Kakamega Homeboyz struggled to a 1-0 win over Nairobi's Zetech University, relying on a Francis Nambute goal in the 62nd minute.
However, things were not rosy for last year's runners-up Ulinzi Stars after they were shown the doors by Sony Sugar in a match that ended 1-0 for the millers.
The match was played at Afraha Stadium.
KPL debutants Kariobangi Sharks overcame Nairobi Regional League side Kenpoly with a 2-0 result to enter the tournament’s next round with hopes of bagging the Sh2 million cash prize and ticket to the Africa Caf Confederation Cup in 2018.
