AFC Leopards are set to begin training on Thursday, December 28 in preparation for next year's Kenya Premier League (KPL) and the Confederation of African Football (CEF) challenge. The team's manager Gilbert Selebwa said the team requires adequate training to ensure the team is ready and well prepared for the next season. "We are resuming training on Thursday. As you understand we will be taking part in the CAF Confederations Cup and as such, we need to be at our best. We've signed the players we needed and having them on board for pre-season is a massive boost for us," manager Selebwa said as quoted by Futaa.comLeopards did not perform overwhelmingly well this season after emerging position 8 in the just concluded premier league in which Gor Mania emerged champions. Ingwe, however, clinched the Gotv shield title and is now confident of becoming champions of the CAF challenge. Kenya was set to host the 2018 CAF challenge but was later stripped off the favor after a delegates meeting in Accra,  Ghana in which a decision was made to shift the hosting to Morocco. The CAF challenge will begin on 12 January to 4 February
