AFC Leopards chairperson, Dan Mule has said that the club might not honour a friendly fixture with a Zambian side, Napsa Stars, slated for between 15th to 20th January owing to sponsors exit.
The Gotv shield winners were asked to sort out travel expenses while the Zambian club catered for meals and accommodation in the pre season friendly fixture.
The chairperson said that the club is forced to prioritize it's expenditure hence proving difficult to honour the fixture.
“As things stand right now, I don’t think we will be able to honor that match because with the sponsors exiting, we need to prioritize our expenses. It will be impossible for us to honor that match so more or less, we have turned down that invite,” Mule said while speaking to capital news.
AFC Leopards was receiving about sh 45 million per year from Sportpesa and the figure was set to be increased this year.
