A 30-year-old man was on Sunday found hanging from a tree near his home in Kalusini Village in Masinga sub-county by a person from the neighbourhood who was passing-by.
The middle aged man according to his neighbours has a mental problem that escalates from time to time but most times he is usually in perfect condition.
Speaking in the village, the sub-county Police OCPD Joel Kiptum confirmed the unfortunate incident citing the reason behind the suicide has not yet been established but investigations are still underway.
“I was alerted by the area Chief that the man had committed suicide. We have found the body but there is no explanation that has been established well,” said OCPD Kiptum.
According to Milaani sub-location area Chief Ngali Kakimu, the man had been having mental issues which might have resulted to his death.
“We have found the man hanging from a tree and he used a wire to hung himself. He is a known resident of Kalusini Village. He has not left any note or any information as to why he had to kill himself,” said Kakimu.
