Opposition leader Raila Odinga is today, Thursday, headed for Baringo county.

This after he visited Emmanuel Kipyengo, a pupil from Baringo, who was shot and severely wounded on his right leg when herding his father's cattle.

He visited the 13-year-old pupil at the Kenyatta National Hospital, May 23, where he condemned cases of insecurity and attacks on innocent residents.In an update, the ODM party leader indicated they would visit Baringo county, whose governor is Benjamin Cheboi, and offer support to locals.

"The other day I visited young Emmanuel from Baringo who had been shot while herding cattle. Today we will visit Baringo county and offer our support to the people as well as give them our plan for a more safe Kenya for them and all people that live within our borders," said Raila.

The presidential aspirant has been criticising government, accusing it of failing to protect citizens from attacks.
