Speaking at Gikambura shopping centre on Monday May 30, Baa said that the policing department remains committed to working with Kiambu County government in order to improve lives and lessen human suffering in the area.

“Gikambura, Thogoto, Karai and Mai-ihi regions have recorded the highest number of criminal cases in the last few months and this has undermined economic progress and investment in the area,” he said.

Baa also condemned parents for neglecting their parenting roles, saying their failure to offer good parenting may lead to activities like being radicalized into terror groups.

“Security is the foundation of the economy and we shall therefore follow up with the county government to ensure that the security lighting that was promised three years ago has been mounted in Gikambura,” Deputy County Commissioner Mr Paul Famba added.

According to Famba, Nyumba kumi initiative should be respected, further urging the locals to inform the elders of any illegal gatherings in the area.
