Opposition chief Raila Odinga on Wednesday met with European Union ambassador in Kenya, Stefano-Antonio Dejak.

During the meeting, EU pledged to support the unity and development deal by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

"We discussed areas of common interest and he pledged their support for the Building Bridges Initiative in any capacity [as] called upon," Raila said through his Twitter account.

Since making peace with Prwesident Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila has met a number of international dignitaries including outgoing US ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec UK High Commissioner Nic Hailey.

All dignitaries stated that there countries pledged to support the unity deal between the two.

The two leaders have appointed a team of 14 advisers to steer national dialogue on this initiative.They include Adams Oloo, Agnes Kavindu, Busia Senator Amos Wako, Florence Omose, Saeed Mwanguni, James Matundura, Major (rtd) John Seii, Bishop Lawi Imathiu, Maison Leshomo and Garissa Senator Mohamed Yusuf Haji.The others are Morompi ole Ronkai, Bishop Peter Njenga, Makueni Woman Representative Rose Museo and Zacchaeus Okoth.
