You might be wondering what happens in the church of Satan that first opened doors for believers (or disbelievers?) a few years ago.
Inside their building of worship, adherents to this faith believe that nobody should be treated with kindness or mercy. When one person wrongs you, you retaliate immediately until your heart finds peace.
To worshippers, sin does not include backbiting or killing. Sinful is when you become too stupid, self-centred or pretentious.
It is here that members do not believe in the existence of God at all. They deny God and the devil altogether.
It becomes a paradox when their service begins as they always start with the words 'hail satan'.
The Church of Satan was founded on April 30, 1966 by Magus Anthony Szandor LaVey and his main objective was to be “openly dedicated to the acceptance of man’s true nature—that of a carnal beast, living in a cosmos that is indifferent to our existence.”
LaVey was an American writer and musician who led the church as its High Priest until he died in 1997 when his common-law wife Blanche Barton too over.
Members of the church once opened a Facebook page called the Church of Satan Kenya where willing members were contacted through the phone number 07XX 666 666.
The church is however at an undisclosed location in the city and no member is allowed to reveal this.
