The first petition was filed by former Kilome MP Harun Mwau on Monday, November 6.

The second was filed by two rights group under the umbrella of Kura Yangu Sauti Yangu.The groups include Muslims for Human Rights (Muhuri) led by chairman Khelef Khalifa, and International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) Kenya Chapter led by Njonjo Mue. 

The groups are represented by lawyer Harun Ndubi and Julie Soweto.IEBC by lawyers Kimani Muhoro and Wambua Kilonzo has since filed its response.Below is a breakdown of the two petitions.1. The fault how Wafula Chebukati's the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) conducted the election.2. IEBC is listed as the first respondent, Chebukati as the second respondent and Kenyatta as the third respondent.3. They said IEBC should have struck out NASA leader Raila Odinga's name on the ballot after he withdrew his candidature and that the exercise should have been called off.4. Raila did not require to formally withdraw by filing form 24A, as there were no nominations.5. IEBC did not comply with the Constitution, none of the presidential candidates qualified since to IEBC failed to conduct nominations nomination at least 21 days before the election.6. The repeat election was characterised by intimidation of electoral officials preventing them from conducting a credible exercise.7. Internal wrangles at the IEBC and Kenyatta’s alleged threats to the Supreme Court.8. Wearing of military-like uniforms by some Jubilee leaders during the campaign.9. Transmission of results and failure of KIEMS kits.
