Kisii County governor James Ongwae has been urged to inspect all development projects initiated by his county in person.
According to Rigena human rights watch organization chairman Tomson Osoro, Governor Ongwae should inspect the projects in person to ascertain their standards.
Osoro who spoke to the media on Thursday said county government officers were not taking accurate report to the governor regarding the quality of the projects.
“The governor should take personal responsibility and inspect various projects launched by him across the county. That is the only way he can be able to ascertain the quality and value of our money of the projects," he said.
He alleged that the county government was paying contractors dubious projects despite indication that majority of them were incomplete or shoddy.
"We are aware that the county is paying contractors on ghost projects. That is why we want the Governor to visit cites before authorizing any payments," he added.
