A delegation of senior officials from Vihiga County, led by Deputy Governor Dr. Patrick Saisi inspected sports facilities at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County towards formalization of the venue as the home ground for national premier league debutants, Vihiga United FC.
Dr. Saisi who was conducted on a tour of the stadium by his Kakamega counterpart Prof Philip Kutima, expressed satisfaction with the stadium's technical standards and instructed his team to immediately engage their Kakamega counterparts in negotiations towards formalization of the host agreement.
Prof Kutima said Bukhungu Stadium had attracted many delegations from other counties for benchmarking.
Also present during the Monday inspection exercise were Kakamega county Ag. Sports CeC Robert Sumbi and Chief Officer for Sports, Mohamed Kulubi.
Vihiga delegation consisted of Anne Rose Sudi, Chief Officer Sports, Director of Communication, Peter Atsiaya, among others.
