Starehe MP Charles Njagua has asked the Nairobi county government to install a proper drainage system at Muthurwa market.
He decried the current state at the market, adding that the stagnant water is a health hazard to traders.
"These roads are impassable especially during the rainy season. We need proper sanitation and drainage for traders to work in a conducive environment," he said while touring the market on Wednesday.
He was with Public Works Permanent Secretary Mwangi Maringa and Kura director general Silas Kinoti.
