Addressing his constituents over the weekend, the lawmaker urged the county to install streetlights to allow business people operate freely even at night.

He said that a 24-hour economy will promote economic development and further create employment opportunities.

“I want to ask the county government to install streetlights that will allow businessmen to operate day and night,” he said.

The lawmaker further asked the county to improve other infrastructures, such as road networks and drainage systems.

He observed that most roads in the sub-county are not tarmacked, a situation he indicated has slowed down businesses, especially during the rainy season.

The MP added that farmers are the most affected since they find it impossible to take their produce to the market when it rains.

“The county government should move with speed and improve road infrastructure in this constituency,” he added.
