An MP has told President Uhuru Kenyatta to stop insulting opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Busia Women Representative Florence Mutua said Uhuru was angry with the ODM party leader for exposing rampant graft in his administration.
"As Kenyans, we are worried about the direction the country is taking," Ms Mutua said at Chawo Star Academy in Port Victoria, Budalang'i town on Friday.
"Instead of promoting cohesion among citizens the President is going public calling Raila names. What does the President think Cord followers are feeling when he goes public to attack our leader? Even if Uhuru doesn't respect Raila, give yourself respect as the Head of State."
She said the President has a duty to unite Kenyans.
Mutua however, said the President, who is the symbol of national unity is at the forefront championing divisionism among Kenyans.
"The Sh5 billion health scam is still fresh," she said.
"Others including NYS and Eurobond are yet to be concluded. The rising foreign debt is a cause to worry. We are fearing our country might be auctioned if this trend will not be checked."
She also accused the national Treasury of failing to release the Affirmative Action Funds.
Uhuru's regime has been riddled with numerous graft scandals including the National Youth Service, Standard Guage Railway line, Eurobond among others.
