Addressing media in Nakuru on Wednesday led by their coordinator Lucy Njeri, the IDPSs said government's promise has not been forth coming.

“”The government promised to compensate each of us 200,000 shillings by September last year but up to now nothing has materialized and therefore we are calling on the government to ensure this is done within the next 14 days or else we shall march to statehouse,” she said.

She told politicians to stop politicising their plight.

“The politicians should keep off this issue of compensation of IDPs. They are the ones who contributed to the suffering and therefore they should not try to interfere,” she said.

He sentiments were echoed by Nelson Owegi, Fatuma Abdurrahman and James Mwaura from Nyandarua respectively.

“We are unanimously calling on the Government to come in and sort out the issues of compensating integrated IDPs once and for all," they said.
