Dr Musyoka wants detectives to ensure that they find Kiala’s daughter who was allegedly kidnapped last week.

“Police detectives must work round the clock  and make sure that they rescue Kiala’s daughter from the kidnappers,” she said as quoted by the Nation.

Dr Musyoka who addressed journalists at Machakos town Tuesday asked Kenyans to pray for the safety of the kidnapped deputy governor’s daughter.

Kiala’s daughter is said to have been abducted on Wednesday last week.

According to the Machakos deputy governor, kidnappers later sent a text message to his wife’s phone asking him to shelve his bid to run for the Machakos governor seat in 2017.

The text message sent to Kiala’s wife according to the Star read “We have your daughter alive. We will release her. But tell your husband if he runs for governor, it will not be the first attempt.”

On Tuesday Kiala told journalists in Nairobi that police are still searching for his daughter.

This comes as a section of Kamba elders in Masinga sub-county threaten to use traditional powers on the kidnappers if they will not release Kiala’s daughter.

The Kamba elders have given the abductors seven days to release Kiala’s daughter or face a curse.

Led by Paul Musembi, the elders said they will conduct a traditional oath known as ‘Kithitu’ if by expiry of seven days the abductors will not have released Kiala’s daughter.

A section of politicians across Machakos now wants the police to track the kidnappers and rescue the deputy governor’s daughter.
