Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has urged Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery to crack the whip on criminal gangs.
Speaking at Mukinye village in Gatundu on Sunday, the lawmaker said that criminals should not be given room to cause havoc.
The lawmaker added that the government has enough machinery to fight criminals and law breakers.
“Nkaissery should be firm and deal decisively with criminals causing havoc in some parts of the country,” said Kuria.
The MP also urged the government to integrate technology among other measures meant to fight crime.
He said criminals have devised creative ways of causing havoc, and security agencies must up their game.
Kuria asked the government to quickly investigate and arrest those behind the killing of Kabete lawmaker George Muchai.
He said that current trend where prominent Kenyans are being killed mysteriously should be investigated and perpetrators brought to book.
Cases of insecurity have been on the rise in the recent past, with people losing lives in unknown circumstances.
