Over the years, Kenya has hosted a number of top international celebrities who were in the country for various reasons.
From Head of States to top muscians, when they were coming we were all aware. However, we have a section of celebrities who have visited the country, only for us to learn about their presence after they have already left.
Bill Gates
Bill Gates visited Eldoret town back in 2009 where many viewed him as an ordinary mzungu who was touring Kenya to sample the country’s beauty and serenity.
Resident mingled with the Microsoft Company founder freely without knowing he was the richest man on the planet.
Mr Gates clad in a checked shirt, khaki trousers and brown leather shoes, alighted from the Toyota and walked to the chemist to inquire about anti-malaria drugs.
The unassuming billionaire passed many people unnoticed, as he arrived in the town where he is supporting hundreds of people on anti-retrovirals under his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Rick Ross
Maybach Music honcho Rick Ross after concluding his South African tour headed to Gabon. As he was Leaving Gabon he boarded a Kenya Airways Flight and Traveled First Class, Rick Ross tweeted that he was impressed with the Chicken and Pasta they Served moments after landing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
50 Cent
US Hip Hop Star 50 Cent visited Kibera slums back in 2012 on charity. He visited the World Food Programme on a mission to feed the children.
While in Kibera, Fiddy served school going children with food and donated money from the sale of a drink brand he owns.
Nicole Scherzinger
The pussy cat dolls singer was in the country early 2015 on yet another charity initiative. Nicole visited areas of Dagoretti where she visited children orphanages that support children aged between seven and 18 years.
Here visit was low profile only for it to be known when she gave the daily mail an exclusive interview regarding her visit in Kenya.
It was the interview that made many of us to actually realize she was in the country.
