Former lands minister Charity Ngilu has challenged the three Cord principles to include a female leader in their coalition.
Speaking during the burial of CCU party leader Wavinya Ndeti's husband on Friday, Ngilu told the Cord leaders that they had forgotten to involve women in their leadership as woman play a great role in ensuring a good leadership in a country.
"If you want real investment and see development in a country invest in women. Viongozi wa Cord mkumbuke wanawake. (Cord leaders don't ignore women)," said the NARC party leader.
Ngilu said that Cord having only male principles creates a negative picture to the nation. "What's this three jameni?" Ngilu asked the Cord leaders, among other Kenyan politicians who had joined Former Kenyan Youth and Sports Assistant Minister Wayinya Ndeti in bidding farewell to Dolamu Henry Oduwole, her Nigerian husband who recently passed away.
Ngilu who hails from Kitui County has declared to vie for the gubernatorial seat of her homeland county currently led by Dr Julius Malombe.
