Nyamira Senator Okong'o Mong'are has urged county residents to ensure they invest in the education of their children.
Speaking on the phone from Mombasa on Saturday, Mong'are said education is the only tool which can play a great role in uplifting residents' lives.
" I humbly urge parents to invest in educating their children because education is the only inheritance we can give our children because land is greatly depreciating," said Mong'are.
The Senator further urged parents to allow their children who do not get good grades that can enable them join universities to embrace technical courses.
"There are those children who maybe cannot get good grades that can enable them to join universities but that does not mean such children cannot play a role in improving our economy and they should be allowed to join technical colleges and polytechnics," added Mong'are.
