[Photo|Nasa coalition]The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has called for the prosecution of two National Super Alliance (Nasa) leaders, presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.In a letter to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Ndegwa Muhoro, dated October 2, 2017, Tobiko also directed that the two be investigated for allegedly contravening Section 132 of the Penal Code.The DPP wants Odinga and Musyoka, investigated for alleged breach of Section 13 (k)(i) of the Elections Act, 2016, and for contempt of Supreme Court orders over for fresh presidential elections."I call on the DCI to undertake thorough comprehensive and expenditure investigations. I have also designated a team of senior prosecutors to provide technical guidance and assistance to investigating teams," Tobiko said.This is after one, Samuel Waweru through Harrison Kinayanjui & Co. Advocates, filed a petition, demanding prosecution of the duo, over their often sentiments that there will be no election and that they may not participate in the October 26, fresh election, if their irreducible minimums are not met by the IEBC.Tobiko asked Muhoro to complete the investigations within 21 days.
