A family in Bombo village is seeking to trace one of their own who has been missing since Thursday.
Elias Ongaga, 35, is a real estate investor in Kisii town and according to family members, he went missing failing to supervise construction activities at his property in Jogoo estate.
According to Edgar Momanyi, a worker with Moms Construction Enterprise, Momanyi was never went to the site despite promising to do so earlier.
“To be honest, I never saw him on Thursday despite having alerted us that he was going to come. Most of us thought that he had suspended the visit,” Momanyi said.
Ongaga’s sister Alice Momanyi on Sunday said her brother had left for Kisii Town after which he was expected to travel to Kisumu for unspecified business.
“I do not know what has happened to him. All his contacts are off air and we are really terrified. We are going through hell,” she said.
This has led to intensive search by the police in Kisii in a bid to help solve the mysterious disappearance of the father of two.
“We have received the report officially from family members and I have instructed officers to try their best. We understand he had a car and this will even make the exercise easier,” said OCPD Tom Mutisya.
