These developments are not just taking place within the CBD but also at the town's outskirts.
Developers have emerged with several impressive residential flats to satisfy the quest of the nearby estates.
The most visible Nyanchwa estates have been reconstructed and are now an upmarket centre attracting the middle-class.
It is said a number of businesses have relocated from Kisumu County to Kisii town.
This, they say, is because the town has become an economic hub for Nyanza.
