Investors from Nyanza region have now blamed Jubilee and NASA leaders Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga respectively for endangering Kenya’s business environment by engaging in an endless election cycle and urged the leaders to hold a dialogue.
According to the investors, their businesses have been in a constant decline in terms of profitability and they said they expect to move from bad to worse if President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader won't swallow their ego for the sake of Kenyans and investors.
Led by Ujezi Kenya (a real estate firm operation in Nyanza region) Managing Director Alice Adhiambo during a breakfast meeting at Blue Nile Hotel in Kisii, the investors said unless something drastic is done by both leaders then the private sector will sink and that will render majority of Kenyans jobless and hence it will directly affect the country’s economy.
“The demands being raised by the opposition leader am sure won’t be listened to by Jubilee and hence that will land Kenya into endless politicking and that will see most of the private investors flee to other nations where they can easily invest and make profits, we love Kenya and it’s high time Jubilee and NASA hold a dialogue to foot the best way forward,” said Adhiambo
The investors also came to the rescue of troubled Safaricom, Mr. Kenyatta’s Brookside, and Mr. Shah’s Bidco Industries and urged locals to continue using the products as boycotting them will land the majority of the locals jobless.
