Gakuyo Real Estate Chairman Rev. David Kariuki has said that the move which offers a one-stop centre for land survey, adjudication and registration services will go along way in removing barriers previously witnessed when acquiring title-deeds.

"We have taken these news in the land sector positively because title deeds play a big role when it comes to development of an area. When you do not have a title, you cannot think of developing a plot," said Kariuki.

Kariuki has said that group investors and individual developers in urban and rural areas are feeling encouraged by the fact that one can now be able to acquire a title deed within 16 days down from 73 days.

The developer has however warned future land investors to be wary of conmen.

"Conmen have found that land business is lucrative and that is where they are now. They will come to you with all papers but it is good you get to verify their originality," he said.

He was speaking over the Weekend in Nakuru during the opening of the firm's new Office.
