Amid the blossoming discontent between the Jubilee party and the opposition Cord coalition over the IEBC tussle, the new ACK Bishop Jackson Ole Sapit has urged the warring parties to seek advice from the former presidents Moi and Mwai Kibaki.

Sapit noted that the former heads of state are more experienced in political matters and so their advice could help resolve the stalemate.

'I urge the government and opposition to consult Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki over the IEBC matter. These people have been in the political arena for long enough and their advice may lead to long-term solution," noted Sapit.

His statements were also echoed by church leaders from the Seventh Day Adventists in Transmara, led by Bishop David Kikwai who warned that the country might get into chaos if the situation remains unsolved.

The statements come at a time when the opposition suspended its weekly protests to create room for dialogue with the government over the issue.

However, early indicators show that the stalemate could soon be resolved as over 40 legislators from both Jubilee and Cord coalition met on Monday to deliberate on the issue.
