Bomariba ward MCA Protus Moindi argued that the constitution allows residents to give priority to projects the devolved unit should give priority.

"Residents should be given a chance to be heard on the projects to be done in the county. Governor Ongwae should direct all assembly members to seek views from their areas of administration on the projects that should be done through public participation forums," he said.

The former leader of majority at the assembly said failure to engage residents in developing the county, opponents will use that opportunity to tell lie and spread propaganda to residents.

"We don't want a situation where opponents will start criticising governor Ongwae and his deputy on claims that locals have not been fully engaged in developing the county. Ongwae should move with speed starting next year to call public participation forums to help in identifying key projects which should be done and completed without delay," he stated.

He challenged poll losers to help the county realise it's development.
