[Photo|Wilberforce Otichillo]Vihiga Governor Wilberforce Otichillo, met with IPAS Deputy Director Dr Ernest Nyamato and Policy Advisor Suzanne Majani to discus Universal Healthcare (UHC) matters in Vihiga County. Ipas, an international NGO focussing on maternal health, reproductive health and adolescent health, is extending its Phase 2 partnership with County government of Vihiga by 5 years to help develop community health strategy and policy for the county. Otichillo said they would also train and certify CHVs through partnership with AMREF to strengthen primary healthcare. Ipas already works directly with 24 health hour facilities in Vihiga County, through training of health providers and supply of drugs to these facilities.
