Anti-riot police battle NASA supporters on Tuesday in Embakasi, Nairobi [Photo/citizentv.co.ke]Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has began investigating into the shooting of a seven-year-old boy in Pipeline Estate, Nairobi on Tuesday.The seven year old Geoffrey Mutinda was shot while playing on the balcony of their house as police dispersed NASA supporters who were protesting after they were barred from accessing Jacaranda grounds.It is also investigating an incident where an expectant woman was shot during the Tuesday confrontations.In a statement on Wednesday, Dennis Oketch who is the head of Communications and Outreach Department said they have launched the investigations and will forward the investigations file to the Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko for appropriate actions.“Upon conclusion, the authority will make recommendations and forward the investigation file to the office of director of public prosecution Keriako Tobiko for his attention,” Mr. Oketch said according to Daily Nation.Mr. Oketch said the previous investigations are at advanced stages and will inform the public once they are concluded.
