IPOA has released toll free numbers that will be used to report police misconduct during the election period.
"It's not only the public who can file complaints but also police who feel their colleagues are acting contrary to the law or chain of command, or are being ordered by their bosses to break the law," IPOA commissioner Tom Kagwe said on Monday.
"The numbers should also be used to compliment officers who go beyond their call of duty."
The number to call in Nairobi is 0742 404560, 0742 404556 in the Rift and 0742 404557 in Western.
In Upper Eastern the number is 0742 404558, 0742404559 for Central, 0742 404561 for Nyanza and 0742 404562 for Lower Eastern.
North Eastern residents are to call 0742 404563 and those in the Coast 0742 404590.
"If you find a police officer misbehaving at a polling station, and acting in a manner to suggest the possibility of having been compromised to mess with the election process, kindly call these numbers quietly," the commission said.
