The common mwananchi has continued to suffer while the politicians they worship dine in very expensive hotels and have the best meals in a day.

A research done by IPSOS Synovate has clearly indicated that at least a person in 31 per cent of Kenya's population going to bed hungry.

However, Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) supporters have been found to be the most affected group with 49 per cent of the supporters going to bed hungry as compared to Jubilee's 23 per cent.

This is a survey that reflects the kind of life people have imposed on themselves. For Cord supporters, this is an indication of the true lifestyle they dwell in. In recent times, Cord supporters have been up in arms demonstrating for the disbandment of IEBC.

They marked Mondays as days to be on the street to campaign for their party's 'right' to a fair election come 2017. What they forgot is that politicians do not go hungry on any given day and instead of concentrating on their jobs and  and other income ventures, they decided to fight for their politicians.

The IPSOS survey is a clear indication of the life of the people who waste their time worshiping politicians instead of engaging in income earning ventures.

The survey should spur change in Cord supporters' attitude who always think politics is all about worshiping an individual. The 49 per cent is a worrying trend and Cord supporters should concentrate on fending for themselves and their families and they should deliver themselves from the hoodlums  of misery.
