A political commentator Barrack Muluka now says research firm, Ipsos Synovate, is owned by a prominent political family.
He challenged the firm to come out clear and declare its interest in the Kenyan political scene.
“When they became Ipsos they were bought by a leading political family,” Muluka said, during a television interview.
He expressed disappointment with Ipsos, saying Tom Wolf, its lead researcher, was targeting specific political individuals.
“One of the questions that Tom Wolf is obsessed with, is the question of whether Raila Odinga should continue being in politics or whether he should retire. Of what point of relevance is that kind of question,” Muluka wondered.
''I refrain from taking seriously opinion polls conducted by Ipsos,'' he added.
His sentiments came barely a day after the firm released a poll, indicating that if elections were held today, 47 per cent of Kenyans would vote for president Uhuru Kenyatta while 30 per cent would vote for Raila.
