Speaking on Friday the Machakos senator Johnston Muthama, Cord Principal Moses Wetangula and Miley Odhiambo who is the Mbita Member of Parliament stated the findings by Ipsos were false and vague.

"Jubilee has a PR firm called Ipsos Synovate who are saying that Uhuru has 68 percent popularity at the time when there are extra judicial killings and our economy is bad, "said Odhiambo.

Moses Wetangula who is also a Cord principal supported the sentiments saying that it was a great contradiction by the rulling government.

"They are going forward to contradict themselves stating there has been a rise of popularity which is not true but a mere publicity stunt," said Wetangula.

Wetangula further termed the findings as a mislead to the people of Kenya.

"Its mere Public Relations which should be stopped and instead let Kenyans decide their leader in the coming 2017 national elections," he added.

Ipsos synovate a few days ago stated that according to a fact finding research done between June 4 and 18 showed president's Uhuru had risen to 68 percent.

The finding further showed even a section of Cord supporters had stated the same.
