An angry mob lynched three suspected thieves said to be behind a series of motorbike robberies in West Mugirango constituency, Nyamira County.
Bomanyanya sub-location assistant Joseph Kinaro who confirmed the incident said the irate mob stormed the home of one of the suspects, Peter Manyansa in Kemasare where they forcefully ejected him from his house before lynching him.
" An angry mob of unknown people who were riding motorbikes arrived at the homestead of Peter Manyansa and forcefully ejected him from the house before lynching him just a few metres along the Gekomoni- Omokonge junction," said Kinaro.
The administrator said the deceased is suspected to have been robbing residents of their belongings something that could have forced the mob to lynch them.
"We are receiving reports that the deceased who was suspected to be behind the robberies in the area was lynched after other two suspected motorbike thieves who had been lynched in Kebirigo named him in connection with their illegal activity," added Kinaro.
Police from Nyamira police station took the bodies the bodies to Nyamira Level Five Hospital mortuary as investigations get underway.
