According to EACC, crucial documents seized by the agency reveals that elected leaders and executives have been influencing the hiring of county workers.
On Monday, Michael Mubea, EACC deputy boss said they are perusing the documents to know the exact people illegally hiring staff since last year’s campaigns.
“We have found some documents where names of politicians are marked on who should be given priority to be employed in the county,” he said.
Mubea accused the county public service board of allowing people to be recruited through illegal means.
“We have information that some people are being added into the payroll yet there are no adverts advertising the vacant posts. Some executive have been involved in the illegal hiring by giving their relatives jobs using the back door,” he added.
