During the relaunch of the party, Namwamba unveiled Esther Kondo who will run for Rabai parliamentary seat and former TV journalist David Makali who will bid for Bungoma Senator.

"Esther is in the race for Rabai parliamentary seat in Kilifi county while David will be seeking to represent the people of Bungoma county in the Senate. Let’s do it, and am sure we will make it," said the former ODM secretary general.

Both Makali and Kondo also joined Namwamba as executive officials where the former journalist was unveiled as the party secretary-general and Kondo took deputy party leader position.

Namwamba is LPK party leader while Prof. Julia Ojiambo is the party chairperson.

"Congratulations to Esther Kondo and David Makali for ascending to the eminent positions of deputy party leader and secretary general respectively," Namwamba said.

Makali was working for Citizen TV but resigned to contest for the same position during the Bungoma senatorial by-election on December 19, 2013, but lost to Cord co-principal Moses Wetang'ula.

Kondo is making her entry into elective politics and she is expected to fight it out with incumbent William Kamoti of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)
