For, instance ODM party leader Raila Odinga, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Nyamira Senator James Mong’are, UDM party’s Philip Murgor and many others have declared their bid to run for the top seat.
However, Machakos governor Alfred Mutua has not declared his bid for the top seat but some political pundit feel like he is the best candidate to unite Kenyans.
Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua.According to the pundits, Kenyans are really in need of a nontribal, issue-oriented, pragmatic and ‘quick’ president at initiating development projects, attributes they say Mutua possess undoubtedly.
From his establishment of Maendeleo Chap Chap Party which is anchored on speedy development, he has won the hearts of many especially the disadvantaged who see him as their savior.
Maybe, in 2017 Mutua may not be a considerable candidate for the top seat but 2022 is not far away, so it is not difficult to discuss post-Uhuru presidency without mentioning the man from Masaku.
