Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has been traversing the country popularizing ODM and its chairperson Raila Odinga.
This has proven to be a headache to other Cord co-principles Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka. The former does not have much to lose but Musyoka's future is being blurred by Joho's resurgence.
Very few people know the role of Wiper in national politics. In the past few weeks, the focus has been centered on Mombasa Governor. From the ODM celebrations in Mombasa to the mega campaign in Nairobi; Kalonzo has a reason to worry.
The former vice president should act earlier before all is lost. Musyoka was supposed to be the man marshalling Cord campaigns but he has faded away.
Apart from the defections in his Wiper party, Kalonzo should concentrate on national politics because Wiper is not represented in all regions countrywide.
If he delays in curbing Joho, he will definitely have to use his infamous "nitapita katikati yao" tactic that almost ruined his political reputation.
This is not the right time for him to apply such an unorthodox mechanism considering his age, numbers as well as political dynamism. Muti Ngunyi observed that Kalonzo lacks the energy and political game plan that can out master UHURUTO.
Joho provides these qualities. Is this the unexpected end to Musyoka's stellar political career?
