The President Uhuru Kenyatta-led side was recently grappling with apparent cracks and a possible fallout between the President and his deputy William Ruto.

This had everything to do with the President's March 9 truce with opposition chief Raila Odinga, with a section of the DP's handlers terming it as a possible scheme to prevent Ruto from realizing his 2022 presidential ambition.

However, all seems to be well now, especially following the President's recent declaration that he will rally behind Ruto's anti-referendum bid to counter Odinga who is pushing for the introduction of a 3 tier government.

Also no longer in existence are the claims by Ruto's allies that there are ongoing plans between the nation's leading political families to further paralyze his bid, with retired Presidents Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki and the Kenyatta and Odinga's families initially being accused of participating in the plot.

The same has applied to Baringo Senator and Ruto's fiercest critic Gideon Moi who was facing allegations of being part of the team set to be deployed to weaken the DP in his voterich Rift Valley region despite his Kenya African National Union (KANU) party being an ally of Jubilee.

The Moi issue has since cooled-off, with the recent exchange between his quarters and that of the DP calming down.
