Speaking during an interview with Radio Citizen on Monday, Kibwana insisted Kalonzo has no plans of ditching the coalition in which he is a co-principal.

“I want to state here categorically that Kalonzo and the people of Ukambani are not under any pressure to leave NASA. We are inside NASA to stay and we will not leave for any other party,” said Kibwana.

The Governor said the allegations that the Wiper boss is considering abandoning the coalition is a propaganda driven by the Jubilee administration in order to derail the opposition's unity.

“The propaganda is being fueled by our competitors in government to cause mistrust among the four co-principals,” he added.

The Wiper leader has been on the spotlight with allegations that he was set to bolt from the opposition if he was not picked as the presidential flag bearer.

The speculation has been fuelled further after his key ally, National Assembly Minority Leader Francis Nyenze gave NASA a seven-day ultimatum to name Kalonzo as its’ presidential candidate or else Wiper party bolts out of the alliance.

However, the former Vice President has stated severally that he is in NASA to stay but has maintained he is the best-suited candidate to dethrone President Uhuru Kenyatta from power.
