If there is a politician in Kenya who is predictable in his unpredictability, that honour would aptly befit the Wiper leader, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka. Like the wipers of a Japanese vehicle on a rainy day, Kalonzo has oscillated between the opposition and government earning himself the watermelon tag in the process.
It has become exceedingly difficult to judge Kalonzo's inner colour by merely looking at his outer green.Yet it baffles many how he manages to win the hearts of friend and foe in equal measure. Raila knew that Kalonzo is not trustworth, yet he fell for his charm and made him a running mate!
The only logical reason for the above scenario is that somebody must have used Kamba 'Kamothee' to confuse another one!
Yet, when you come to think of it, in skipping Raila's purported purpoted swearing, Kalonzo, for a second time, saved the nation from collapse. You still recall his action in 2007 when he helped Kibaki form a government when all was hot.
In the same vein, his action not to be sworn in with Raila may have saved the nation from a calamity. Kalonzo may have stopped a brewing crisis by choosing not to take the oath.
Therefore we ask: Is Kalonzo a villain or a hero?
