The Orange Democratic Movement of Kenya (ODM-Kenya) leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been quiet on the presidency flag bearer position currently being tussled between Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula.
On the other hand, he has let other political leaders speak on his behalf on the presidency issues with Ukambani leaders calling on him to fight for the flag bearer position in Cord.
However, Kalonzo's silence should be taken with outmost seriousness. The veteran politician has been accused of being a political traitor with 2007 still fresh in people's mind when he chose to leave ODM and form his own party that he used to vie for presidency.
The leader is not a traitor and in politics, one has to act in ways set to benefit him or her. In 2007, Kalonzo chose a path favourable to him and if not clearly checked, he will surprise people in 2017 elections.
All Cord leaders should have an indoor meeting and accord every leader a responsibility as 2017 approaches.
This will help avert people sorting for political solace somewhere else. If the ODM-Kenya leader leaves Cord, it will be the beginning of the downfall of Cord coalition and probably hand Jubilee an early victory.
