Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) 2017 race to State House has been marred with various challenges.
The co-principals have not only eaten teargas and held press conferences but also walked in corridors of justice in a bid to unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Recently, they have been disagreements on who should be the coalition’s flag bearer. Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Orange Democratic movement leader Raila Odinga have expressed their interests to vie for the seat.
However, it will not be easy to unseat UhuRuto if the three do not combine efforts. Kalonzo has what it takes to land Cord’s ship into the dock. The former vice president has made many sacrifices for the nation of Kenya. He has been on the forefront when it comes to fighting for the rights of Kenya.
His desire to end corruption and tribalism, which are the greatest challenges to development, gives him an upper hand to steer the ship to the right direction.
The flamboyant leader has won the hearts of many Kenyans because of his relented fight to empower women, youths and other groups in the country.
In addition, he has not been involved in corruption cases like the other Co-principals.
